2021-05-23 Sunday morning musings:
Today is Pentecost Sunday - when the disciples were locked in a room fearful when Jesus appears and eventually gifts of the Holy Spirit.
What does this mean for us today? Our fear and our bias locks us within the confines of our minds unable to truly live in the love and forgiveness that is expected of us.
A simple "Shalom!" releases us from them. It is an offer of peace to reside within us to take the place where fear and hate resides. It is up to us to accept that offer and invite Shalom in - so that we can step outside of ourselves.
